Happy New Year – Few thoughts to start this Year!!

As we are ushered into this new day, new year let's take spend some time to ponder over how we have fared in the last year. Generally we have many matrices, examples, standards where we tend to compare ourselves and check our progress.  I would like to share my own example, I constantly keep comparing myself with ex-colleagues, old friends, even random people I meet. I try to comfort myself by carrying out this exercise and maybe fool my mind into thinking that I am doing well. Today, I want all of you take few minutes out of your schedule and ask yourself, How have we fared in the eyes of the Almighty?
It has become very convenient for the modern Christian to overlook the very question God is going to ask us on Judgement day. "What have you done with the life I gave you? What did you do with my son Jesus Christ?"  Have we asked these questions to ourselves yet? We constantly tend to postpone or overlook such thoughts as they don't fit into our daily routine.  Today, I urge all my friends to start questioning yourself and determine how you have lived your life in the past one year.
We may not have been good let alone be perfect, as human beings we always have shortcomings. We all have weaknesses that make walking in our Christian life very difficult. However our Lord likes to work with people who accept and know that they are weak.  2nd Corinthians 12:9 says - “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Let us submit ourselves to the almighty and admit and accept that we are weak and need his unlimited grace in our lives to walk in the paths he has set for us.
Finally I would like to leave all of you with a verse that has touched my heart today
Isaiah 43: 2  - "When you pass through the waters,  I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."

God bless all of you. May his grace be with you forever.
Happy new Year to all of you!!
